On behalf of the Strong Children ~ Strong
Communities committee, I hope that you will be
able to attend our 21ST
annual conference. It is our honor and pleasure
to provide such an important event for parents,
professionals and educators with the hope that
through this conference you will gain a better
ability to make a positive difference in the
lives of children. We are pleased to provide you
with so many highly competent presenters who
represent the best in their varied fields of
expertise. As we do each year we are sure to
provide a wide array of topics so that we can
meet the needs of the diverse audience we hope
to reach. These seminars include sessions on
Health & Wellness, Child Development, School
Readiness Special Needs and Family
Relationships. We are also very pleased to
present our keynote speaker Sue
Black,
who will address the
latest research and best practice in bullying
prevention.
Her unique style is designed to raise awareness,
shape attitudes, change behaviors, create
memorable learning, and communicate a shared
vocabulary.
This conference, formerly known as Parent
Institute Day remains the largest bi-lingual
conference in the Chicagoland area as we
continue to offer seminars in both English and
Spanish, to meet the needs of our very diverse
community in the southland. We also are proud
that the conference provides seminars with tips
for parents of children of all ages and
abilities, furthering the diverse nature of the
program. As we have every year, many different
exhibitors shall be present to provide
information on products and services that are
important for families.
Another wonderful benefit we provide at the
event is the opportunity to acquire CEU, CPDU or
Early Intervention Credential hours for
professionals to assist their in acquiring
needed training for their professional and
licensing requirements.
We look forward to seeing you on February
25th for a most enjoyable day of learning new
skills and networking with some new friends!
Sincerely
Brendan McCormick
